CHAPTER 11 TO 20

CHAPTER 11 – This Love

The sun was shining in ’s eyes, which woke her up - but she didn’t care, because that was gonna be a special day: it was the 3-month “anniversary” of Chris’ accident, and on the day before, he had been to his last physiotherapy session. Also, one of her best friends was getting married that day, and she always loved weddings.

- Hello? - answered the phone after seeing that Chris wasn’t in bed.

- Hi sweetie, it’s Liz. I just went to the shop and I picked up both our bridesmaid dresses, so I was thinking we could meet up for lunch or something…

- Oh, sure… Well come have lunch in here then! You don’t wanna be carrying the dress around! - said while getting up and going to the kitchen to find Chris making breakfast and Isabella sitting on the table.

- Oh, ok. I just gotta run some more errands and I’ll be there around 1 p.m. - Liz replied.

- Ok, bye sweetie - hung up and gave Chris and Isa a kiss - Good morning you two!

- Hi, mom! I’m wearing the dress Chris got me for my fourth birthday, he helped me put it on – Isabella smiled.

- Oh, yeah? That’s really nice sweetie!

- Morning, - Chris smiled and kissed

- Sit there with Isa, breakfast is almost ready.

- Oh, so I can’t help at all?

- No! That’s the point! Do you realize I haven’t cooked since before my accident?

- Well, I wanted to take care of you…

- And I loved it - Chris sat on the table and smiled - But now I’m all recovered, and I gotta get back to my regular life!

- Oh yeah, you’re going back home today right?

- Yes, and I have to restart shooting Push in three days. I loved staying here but… it’ll be good to be back.

- Yeah - smiled.

- Okay, I’m gonna get going then - Chris said when they finished breakfast - So, I’ll come pick you up around six, right?

- Yeah, cause I gotta be there early - kissed Chris and he went away.

The afternoon went by really quickly for . She had a great time having lunch with Liz, then she left Isa at Abby’s to go to the beauty salon – but not before she spent a good twenty minutes talking to her little nephew on Abby’s 5-months pregnant belly - and before she knew it, Chris was already picking her and Isa up to go to the wedding.

- Hey, Liz, I’m here! - said when arriving at the hotel where the wedding was happening and seeing Liz putting on her makeup.

- Jason broke up with me. About three hours ago, over the phone - Liz turned around and burst the news to .

- Oh my God, what?

- Don’t worry though, I have a plan. I already drank two glasses of champagne, just enough to make sure I don’t look depressed over the ceremony but not enough to get me drunk. And I’m not gonna run away or cry through the whole thing, I’m just gonna keep smiling and drink all I can once the ceremony is over.

- But honey are you sure you’re ok?

- Yes! I am. I’ll cry and watch drama movies tomorrow, today is Hayley’s day. Oh, here she comes - Liz smiled and looked at Hayley walking into the room in her dress.

- Oh my God sweetie, you look perfect! - hugged Hayley.

- Thank you, dear! I’m so happy you guys are all here!

- We wouldn’t be anywhere else in this day! - Liz said.

- How are you feeling? - Hayley’s cousin Katie asked.

- Oh, I’m a bit nervous… But I’m sure Sam is too, so that makes me feel better!

- Yeah, I told Chris to go check on him, make sure he doesn’t run away! - and the other girls laughed.

The ceremony was like a dream. paid attention to every the detail. The flowers, the dress, the decoration, she helped picking all those things, but it felt really special when it was all put together. She nearly cried when the priest said “Samuel Henry Worthington, do you take Hayley Elizabeth Atwell to be your wife?” Even though she always found it stupid that the bride and the groom had to answer such obvious question, it was one of her favorite moments in a wedding. Later, at the party, was dancing with Isabella while Chris and Liz were taking a break - Chris from dancing, and Liz from drinking.

- Liz, do you think ever wants to get married? - Chris asked.

- What? - Liz almost spilled her drink - Oh my God, are you thinking about getting married?

- Honestly, yeah… I never thought I’d be ready to settle down already, and it’s scary but… I don’t see any reasons not to.

- Oh, that’s so cute! - Liz screamed and hugged Chris - Sorry, I’m drunk.

- It’s okay - Chris laughed - it’s because of your boyfriend right? told me.

- Yeah… Oh God, I should’ve seen it coming you know? He never really treated me nicely, he didn’t even like me…

- Well, I’m sure you’ll find someone - Chris smiled - Hey, you remember my friend Matt?

- The one I slept with? Hell yeah! - Liz and Chris laughed.

- I thought you guys were gonna start something there, you really seemed to hit it off that night.

- Yeah… We did… I don’t actually know why we didn’t call each other… But yeah, he was nice.

- Well, he’s single… Maybe you guys should set something up!

- Yeah… I’ll give him a call - Liz nodded and smile - By the way, answering your question: definitely wants to get married. She might look all tough and independent, and she’s great at raising Isa on her own, but… She needs someone to take care of her. She needs you. - They both smiled.

- Hey, honey, do you wanna dance? - arrived at the table and asked Chris.

- Sure, let’s go!

- Mommy, can I stay here with aunt Liz? I’m tired - Isa asked while rubbing her eyes.

- Sure, sweetie! - smiled - What were you talking to Liz about? - asked Chris while he started to lead here in a slow music.

- About Matt, that friend of mine she slept with - Chris said after thinking for a few seconds - I told her they should go out sometime.

- Yeah… That will be good. Oh, look at you, fixing up my life and my friend’s life - smiled and kissed Chris.

- So, does that mean your life is fixed because I’m in it?

- Oh, yeah, definitely! All that was left in my life was some hot guy to drive me to parties whenever I want to - They laughed and then got serious - Yeah. This is everything that I need.

CHAPTER 12 - Me, The Universe & You

- Hi, I’m looking for Chris Evans - said to a woman who looked like she was in charge, as she and Isabella walked into the set where Chris was filming Push.

- Oh, he’s in makeup, but he’ll be here in a few minutes if you want to wait by those chairs - The woman smiled and went away.

- Look, mommy! - Isabella pointed to a girl that was standing close to them, on her back - That girl’s hair is blond with pink!

- Oh yeah! Pretty, huh? - smiled and the girl turned around.

- So, did you like my hair? - She smiled and asked Isabella.

- Yes, I like pink - Isa replied.

- Are you Dakota Fanning? - asked to confirm.

- Yeah! - Dakota smiled - Are you in the movie too?

- No, I’m Chris Evans’ girlfriend, .

- Oh, it’s nice to meet you!

- Nice to meet you too - smiled.

- Is she your daughter? - Dakota asked.

- Yeah. Tell her your name, honey! - told Isa.

- My name is Isabella!

- That’s a pretty name! Mine is Dakota.

- Really? I have doll named Dakota! - and Dakota laughed.

- Hey stranger! - stood up and kissed Chris.

- Hey . Have you been waiting for long?

- No, not at all. Long enough for Isa to make a new friend though - showed Chris that Isa was playing with Dakota.

- Oh, then that was what, thirty seconds? - Chris and laughed and sat on some chairs.

- Oh my God, you’ll never believe what happened! I almost forgot to say, cause Hayley called me just now!

- What? What happened? - Chris asked curious.

- You know that James Cameron movie you told me about? Avatar?

- Yeah…

- Sam got the lead role in it!

- Oh wow! That’s amazing!

- I know, right? He said we should go out and celebrate!

- Yeah, we should! Oh, but we can’t today, cause my mom invited us, Abby and Josh and your parents to go have dinner at her house.

- Really? Everyone?

- Yeah, and my brother and sisters will go as well, she wanted to gather everyone.

- Oh that’s nice! So, I’ll call them, but I’m sure they’ll say yes to that. My mom’s been wanting to meet your family too, only she’s too lazy to put a party together - and Chris laughed.

A few minutes later, Chris’ publicist showed up.

- Hey, Chris, there are some girls outside so I told them you’d sign these – she handed him about five pieces of paper and he looked at her with an uncomfortable look – Don’t worry, I told them you don’t have time to go take pictures with them. It’s just they’ve been there for a while.

- Ok, thanks. Oh, Jean, this is my girlfriend ; this is my publicist Jean.

- Oh hi, nice to finally meet you! – smiled.

- You too! I’ve heard a lot about you… and your daughter! Isabella, right?

- Yeah, she’s the one over there with Dakota.

- Oh, she’s really cute!

- Thanks – smiled.

- Ok, I gotta get going. See you guys later! – Jean smiled, took the papers Chris signed and went away.

- Look at you all famous signing papers! – said joking – You really don’t like that, do you?

- I was just thinking, this is so insane! I mean, these girls probably spent days trying to convince their parents to let them come here, then waited for hours just to get a little piece of paper with my scrabble on it!

- Oh, I know honey. It must feel really weird. But here you are, with an amazing job, the career you’ve always dreamed of… maybe you shouldn’t think this over so much.

- Yeah, you’re right, I’m over thinking. But anyways, I need to be distracted with something “normal”…

- How about a kiss? - smiled and kissed Chris.

- Hmm, yeah, much better now - Chris smiled.

- Oh, one more thing – said while laying her head in Chris’ shoulder - I was reading this horoscope thing on the paper and apparently our signs have a really low chance of a successful relationship.

- Oh really? Then I guess we should just break up now; we’re just wasting time, right? Well, that’s a bummer – Chris laughed and rested his head on ’s.

- Yeah. Or I can pretend I was born a month later, and then I’m another sign.

- Okay, we’ll do that! - Chris and laughed and kissed.

At night, they all went to Lisa’s and were talking in the living room while dinner wasn’t ready. Everyone was there: Chris, his parents Lisa and Robert, his brother Scott and his sisters Shanna and Carly, with her husband Ryan; took her parents, Emma and John, and her sister Abby with her husband Josh.

- Wow, Lisa, this is such a lovely home!

- Oh, thank you ! - Lisa replied - Yeah, we’ve lived in this house since we moved to LA, but we keep our house in Boston for vacations.

- Oh, yeah, Chris told me about it!

- You should take there sometime, son! - Chris’ dad replied.

- Yeah, that would be nice, you could meet some of my friends and everything - Chris smiled.

- So, Abby, how’s the pregnancy going? - Lisa asked.

- Oh, it’s going great, thanks.

- How far along are you? - Chris’ sister Shanna asked.

- Um, seven months and a half. And, actually, we just picked a name - She smiled at Josh.

- Oh my God, really? What is it? - asked.

- It’s Daniel - Abby smiled.

- Oh, it’s beautiful. I love that name – said.

- Well, okay everyone, dinner’s on the table! - Lisa said.

- Lilly! Isabella! - Carly shouted and the girls came running.

- Mommy! Mommy! - Isabella pulled ’s arms - Aunt Lisa has a room full of toys!

- Really? That’s so cool!

- Yeah, it’s for Lilly, cause she is her granddaughter, but she let me play too! - Isabella answered and everyone smiled - Come see it!

- Oh, sweetie, we’re gonna have dinner now, you’ll show me later, okay?

At dinner, it was like the world was ending and everyone needed to talk as much as they could, which made and Chris laugh a lot. They both kept teasing their mothers about the amount of issues they found to talk about, and they claimed the need to talk was because of their Italian descent - both Lisa’s mother and Emma herself were Italians.

After having dessert, everyone went back to the living room and kept talking. Isabella and Lilly were watching TV, Scott and Ryan were talking, and Carly were giving Abby and Josh some parenting advice, and “the parents” were - based on the laughs - sharing some of their son’s and daughter’s childhood stories.

Chris was sitting on a chair, alone, when came and sat on his lap.

- Hey, handsome - She kissed his cheek.

- Hey! - Chris smiled. - So, I guess it’s my turn now?

- What are you talking about?

- No, it’s just… everyone has so much to talk about, to everyone, it looks like we’re at those places you go to get a date, and you change partners every five minutes.

- Yeah, it does! - They laughed - But wow, I am really happy our families are getting along so well!

- I know, this is great! - Chris smiled - And thank God they got along cause… they’ll still have to see each other for a very long time.

- Yeah… Or, you know, before you become super famous and dump me for Angelina Jolie - laughed.

- Oh yeah. But still, a couple of years right? - Chris smiled and kissed .

CHAPTER 13 - The Girl Who Murdered Love

- So… tomorrow’s our one year anniversary! What do you wanna do? - Chris asked after they finished watching a movie in the evening. They were at his place and Isabella was sleeping over at Lilly’s house (Chris’ niece).

- I don’t know, really…. How about we go to dinner somewhere nice, and then drink with some friends at that pub we like?

- Hm, great idea - Chris kissed her - Hey, can I ask you a question?

- Sure.

- It’s just… We’re together for a year now, and we’ve never talked about this… do you ever think about getting married?

- No, I don’t - laughed - Don’t worry about that!

- Really? I thought you would… with Isa and all.

- Well, that’s exactly why actually - said while pouring coffee for both of them - I mean, I always loved weddings, and I did want it since I was a child but… after I adopted Isa that dream didn’t live for much longer, you know?

- But still, didn’t you ever consider that someone might be, I don’t know, “willing” to marry you? - Chris asked as sat by the kitchen’s table.

- I don’t think so… But I’ll tell you, it’s much easier to settle for truth. I mean, what are the chances I find someone willing to marry me and get a four year-old child come along?

- I don’t know… You shouldn’t see it like that. It’s not that much different from finding a marriage in “normal terms”, let’s say.

- Of course it is! Think of you in this situation. Would you give up going out every night, waking at noon and walking on the beach for twisted sleep hours, princesses’ movie sessions and playing with Barbies? - laughed.

- Oh, come on, you make it sound so terrible. It’s not that bad - Chris smiled.

- Oh my God. Do you think about getting married? - looked at Chris and got serious.

- Honestly, I… I didn’t use to, before…

- What, before you met me? Oh my God, Chris, are you serious? - asked confused.

- Yeah! Why wouldn’t I be?

- Because! We’ve known each other for only a year! This is crazy! - said in a higher pitch.

- What? Why is this crazy? It’s the natural next step to a relationship! - Chris and stood up.

- Yeah, for a normal and long relationship! You can’t just go “Oh I love my girlfriend so I should marry her!” How about the fact she has a daughter and you’ve known her for a year?

- , why are you being so aggressive about this? Why would you not want a husband? It’s best way for you, and for Isabella!

- Ok, now you’re making me sound like a terrible person, like I don’t want Isa to ever have a dad! Do I wish some perfect guy would show up, become my husband and Isa’s father, and support us? Of course. But am I gonna get that? No, because this is real life Chris!

- listen to yourself right now!

- I am listening! I’m being realistic! I am aware that I’m not a normal 27 year-old, but you are - looked at Chris for a while and they stopped screaming.

- Ok, you’re different. But different doesn’t mean bad - Chris came closer to .

- Don’t you see it Chris? In this case it does. You’re young, you’re happy the way you are. Believe me, you are not ready to commit to a woman and her child, and move in together, and have a family, practically become an old guy.

- No. You don’t know what I want - Chris said in an angry tone.

- You’re right - said almost crying - Now I don’t know what I want either.

grabbed her purse and left, almost crying, and Chris just sat there. He regretted saying that to , that she didn’t know what he wanted, because right now neither did him. And maybe she was right. Maybe they shouldn’t get married. But the question was: should they just keep doing what they were doing, and trying hard for it not to get any more serious than that, or should they just end it all to avoid the complications? All they knew at the moment was that they couldn’t just pretend everything was ok between them anymore.

CHAPTER 14 – Crazy Little Thing Called Love

- Hello? - answered the phone after it rang five times. That was the third time Chris had called her that day, but the first time she picked up.

- Hey - Chris was silent for a few seconds and felt she would cry if she tried to say something - Don’t you think we should talk?

- No, I don’t - held her tears and kept going - We talked last night, and now I need to think about the stuff we said. We can’t just make up and ignore that. We can’t go back the way we were now.

After hung up, she cried for about ten minutes, and she didn’t talk to Chris anymore. After about a week, heard someone knocking on her door and opened it to find Chris’ mom, Lisa.

- Hi, sweetie - Lisa smiled in a sort of pity way - How are you doing?

- Oh, Lisa! Come in - smiled uncomfortably and they both sat on the kitchen chairs - So… uh… how’s Chris?

- Honey, he’s a wreck! He told me about your fight. I’m sure you both said very unreasonable things, uh?

- Yeah. You know, I had a lot of time to think about this and I realized… it’s not that I don’t wanna get married, it’s that I never thought I would. This whole fight we had was basically because society says no one would wanna marry a 27 year-old single mom.

- Oh, I see it honey. I get how hard it must be for you to cope with the possibility of never finding “the one”, and after doing that, trying to change your mind back because you might actually get him.

- I know. And Chris, he… he’s just so amazing… I can see myself ending up with him. He just scared me cause I really didn’t think it’s what he wanted.

- Ok, , you really need to tell him that.

- Oh, I don’t know if I’m ready…

- Hey - Lisa held ’s hand - You know how protective I am of Chris right? I’m so proctetive of him that when you answered the door for me just now, you were surprised I asked if you were okay instead if slapping you for making my little boy sad! - Lisa and laughed - This means I really care about you. And you two really need to work things out.

- Okay, I’ll talk to him. I promise.

- Ok, good. I won’t even mention I was here - Lisa smiled, hugged and left.

Later, at night, was about to call Chris when he knocked on the door. She answered and they stared at each other for almost a minute, both not sure about what to do or say.

- I’m sorry, I know you didn’t want to see me, it’s just…

- No, I did. I was just about to call you.

- Really? And say what?

-Um, well I had time to think about this - said while walking in and Chris followed her - and I realized that it’s not that I never wanna get married - turned to Chris - it’s that I never thought I’d have the chance.

- That’s exactly what I wanted to say to you - Chris smiled. - I was gonna tell you to try and forget everything: forget that Isa is adopted, forget that you only know me for a year, forget how hard it is to find someone. Just picture you somewhere in the future: you, me, and Isa, together in a big house, just like a family… don’t you want that? – Chris held ’s hand.

- You know - said almost crying - I always thought we were on the same path on not wanting to get married. It really scared me when I started to realize we were on the same path on wanting to get married.

- Yeah. You know, the worst part is, I didn’t know I wanted to get married this bad until I fought that hard for it. I always figured if we ever had that fight, you would be the other way around.

- Well, seems like we really needed to have that fight and clear things up - and Chris laughed - So… No reasons left for staying apart - looked deeply into Chris’ eyes and he kissed her passionately.

- Chris, you’re back! - Isabella opened the door to her room and came running.

- Hey sweetie! - Chris hugged Isa.

- How was your trip?

- My trip? - Chris looked at and she nodded - It was ok. But I really missed you guys.

- We missed you too - Isa smiled.

CHAPTER 15 – A Beautiful Mess

- And that one is called Wolverine – Chris heard saying as he walked into her house, to find her showing Isabella the cover of an X-Men movie.

- Hi Chris! – Isabella ran and jumped on his lap.

- Hello, princess! I see you’re really into superheroes, uh?

- Yeah, they are pretty cool – Isabella smiled.

- So, has Olive arrived to take care of you?

- Yes, she’s setting me a bubble bath!

- Really? That sounds really fun!

- Yeah! I’m gonna go take my bathtub toys – Isa smiled and went to her room.

- Hey, you ready to go? – Chris kissed .

- Yeah – smiled. – Do you believe that Abby actually got mad I’m not
taking Isa there tonight?

- Really? I thought she’d be relieved! I mean, Isa is super easy to take care of, but her belly is huge, right?

- Yeah, she can barely walk! – laughed – Anyways, we should get going cause someone promised me a special night.

- Oh crap, you still remember that – Chris and laughed.

- Just let me go check on Isa – and Chris went to her room to find her playing with her Fantastic Four toys.

- Look Chris, it’s you! – She showed him the Human Torch doll.

- Yeah, it is! – Chris laughed.

- Oh, you said the reservation’s at eight right? We should get going - started helping Isa get some toys.

- No, it’s okay… We still got some minutes left - Chris replied while looking intently at Isabella playing.

- Why are you acting so weird? - smiled confused.

- I’m not! Ok, let’s go.

Chris and said bye to Isa and then Chris took to the restaurant where they had their first date.

-Oh my God, I can’t believe you brought me here! - said after they ordered - And at the same table! This is so great – She smiled and kissed Chris.

- I’m glad you like it.

- I do. Even though celebrating our one year anniversary two months later didn’t seem so special – laughed – you really made it.

- Yeah, I wish we hadn’t put out that discussion so much that we had to spend our anniversary apart…

- Yeah…

- But at least we had it, and it’s over now - Chris smiled - So, about the “special night” I promised you…

- What? It goes beyond this?

- Yeah, I… I have some things to tell you… – Chris pulled his chair close to her – I was gonna wait until the end of the night but I’ll say them now.

- Oh. Should I be worried?

- No, no, it’s just two things I need your answer for.

- Okay – replied confused.

- You know, uh, I’ve only known you for a year… well, a year and two months – They laughed - And, some people say that’s very short time but, I feel like I know you so well already and I… I don’t think I ever loved someone this much, ever.

- Me too – smiled and Chris held her hand.

- And I know we’ve talked about this being somewhere in the future, but then I realized I don’t wanna wait. So uh, I’m not gonna stall anymore… – Chris got down on one knee and picked up a small box from his pocket. couldn’t believe that was happening, but there wasn’t much time to reflect before Chris asked her - , will you marry me?

- Oh my god! –she put her hands on her mouth in shock - Yes, yes! – hugged him, then they kissed and he put the ring on her hand. She never thought that moment would come for her, especially after adopting Isabella, when she started accepting she would spend her whole life raising her daughter on her own. But now it was happening. It almost didn’t feel real. - Oh my god, this is beautiful! I can’t believe this! Isa is gonna love it…

- Actually, I wanted to talk to you about Isa too. You know how much I love her, right?

- Yes, yes I do - she smiled and held his hand.

- And in the beginning I was scared, cause getting into the relationship was practically me becoming a father figure for her…

- Yes I know, it was very hard for you darling, but you’ve been amazing - put her hand in his face.

- Because you made it so easy! You made it not scary anymore. And, I never thought I would feel this, but… You and Isabella are the most important people in my life now - Chris ran his fingers through ’s hair.

- Oh, that’s really great honey… - smiled.

- Anyways, uh… I’ve been doing some research with my lawyer and… If you agree, of course, I… I want to adopt Isabella. Like, legally be her father.

- Oh my god! - suddenly got serious - Chris, are… are you serious? - her eyes filled with tears, then Chris looked deeply into her eyes and smiled.

- Yes. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you, I want us to be a family… and I wanna do it right.

- Oh my god Chris, yes! - hugged him and some tears dropped - That is so great! I love you so much… so much.

- I love you too .

- Oh my god! - dried her tears - Isa is gonna love to know about this! - she smiled and kissed Chris.

After dinner, they went to ’s house, and Isabella was watching TV with Olive, who quickly stood up and got her bag.

- I’m sorry, I really have to go!

- It’s okay Olive, thank you - paid Olive and she left.

- Heey sweetie, we have something to tell you… - and Chris sat on the couch next to Isa.

- What is it?

- Chris and mom are getting married! And he is going to be your dad now!

- Really? YAAAY! - Isa screamed and hugged Chris - Are we gonna live together now?

- Yes! - Chris answered - We’re all a family now! - They all hugged and Isa kissed both.

- We are a super family now! - As Isa said that, ’s phone rang.

- Hello? … Oh my God! Really? Okay, we’ll be there in 10 minutes!

- What happened? - Chris asked while putting Isabella back on the couch.

- Abby is having her baby! We have to go! - gave Chris a quick kiss and
grabbed her purse, and they all went to the hospital. When they arrived, they soon found Josh, who took them to Abby’s room.

- Abby! - hugged her - I can’t believe the day has come; my first nephew!

- Hey, congratulations Abby - Chris kissed her in the cheek.

- Thanks guys. Oh my God, what is that? - Abby held ’s hand and saw the ring.

- Oh yeah… - laughed - Sorry, I didn’t mean to steal your thunder tonight but… we're engaged!

- Oh my God, congratulations honey! - Abby hugged .

- Hey, welcome to the family! - Josh told Chris.

- Thanks!

- Uncle Josh! - Isa pulled Josh’s coat - Chris is gonna be my dad now!

- Really? Wow, that is great sweetie!

- Alright, come on, let’s give aunt Abby and uncle Josh some alone time - , Isabella and Chris went to the waiting room.

- Are you ok? - Chris said when noticing looking around the hospital.

- Yeah… Just trying my best to see the happiness here, and not remember… the other things.

- Oh come on, there are no bad memories here.

- Yeah, maybe not from the nursery… But everything happened here! When Isa got sick, when Abby passed out and when you…

- Hey, hey - Chris hugged - All those things turned out fine, right? And tonight will be another great memory.

- Yeah - smiled.

- Mommy? Is Lisa gonna be my grandma now?

- Yes, sweetie - put Isa on her lap - Lisa is your grandma now and Bob is your grandpa!

- Can I call them and tell them that?

- Oh, they’re sleeping now… We’ll call them tomorrow okay?

- Okay - Isabella lyed her head in Chris’ lap and they all slept. About an hour later, Josh came running and called them.

- , wake up! Daniel is here!

- Really? - ran to the room and Chris took Isa on his lap while she woke up. They entered the room to find Abby smiling and holding the cutest little baby.

- Oh, he is the most adorable thing! Congratulations! - smiled and kissed Abby’s forehead.

- Hey, Dan, meet you godmother…

- Oh, really? - ’s eyes filled with tears - Thank you so much! Can I hold him?

- Of course! - Abby handed the baby, and as she held him, Chris stood by her side with Isa still on his lap.

- See, I told you. Another great memory.

CHAPTER 16 – Here’s To The Future

- I hate your smile.

- What?

- I… hate… your smile.

- Why? – Chris asked while still smiling.

- Because – ran her fingers through his hair – It makes me not wanna go anywhere else. And I have to get out of bed at some point. Every day.

- Well, good luck with that, cause when we’re married you’re gonna have to see my hideous smile every morning – Chris and smiled and he kissed her – But today, we still got some minutes before having to get up.

Later, Chris and had breakfast and went for a walk on the beach with East.

- So, my bridesmaids are Abby, Hayley and Liz, and your best men are…

- Scott, Dean and Matt - Chris replied.

- Ok, so… For the entering, how about Hayley with Dean, Abby with Scott and Liz with Matt, obviously…

- Oh yeah, they wouldn’t have it any other way!

- Right? - and Chris laughed - Yeah, this is the first I feel Liz is really ready to commit.

- Yeah, I feel that about Matt too - Chris smiled.

- Oh my God, I can’t believe the two of us are picking bridesmaids, best men, cakes and dresses!

- I know, it’s so weird! A year and a half ago we were just two strangers flirting in a bar! - Chris answered as he and entered the dance studio where she taught ballet.

- Mom! Dad! - Isabella screamed across the room and came running.

- Hi sweetie! Where’s grandma? - asked as Isa patted East.

- She didn’t come, aunt Carly brought me and Lilly!

- Hey sis! - Chris hugged Carly.

- Hey! - Carly then hugged - I went to mom’s house on my way here so I already brought Isa with us.

- Oh that’s so sweet, thanks!

- So, did you guys hear back about the adoption? - Carly asked after ’s friend took East outside for Isabella and Lilly to play with.

- No… Not yet - Chris answered - But the court audition was only three days ago and they said it could be up to a week so…

- Oh but don’t worry you guys, they have no reason to deny the adoption - Carly smiled and went away.

- Hey, I have an idea - said to Chris - How about we have dinner at our new house?

- That’s a great idea! - Chris smiled - I’m gonna go to work and I’ll meet you there.

- Okay. I’ll pass by your house and pick up East, and maybe we can sleep over.

- Okay then, bye - Chris kissed her and went away.

About a month before, and Chris had bought this beautiful house. It had just finished being built, so there was no furniture yet, but was already in love with it: there were four bedrooms - her bedroom with Chris, Isa’s room, a visitor’s room and an office. There was also a great pool, and sometimes she would just stare at it and imagine the great moments to come in there. She loved to walk around the ground floor: it had the kitchen, living room, dining room and a counter, kind of like a bar, all in one ambient.

- Honey, I’m home! - Chris walked in while , Isa and East were sitting in a rug where the living room was gonna be. He left his keys on the counter, grabbed some mail that was there and sat with them.

- Hey my princess! - Chris kissed Isa and then .

- Daddy, do you wanna eat Chinese food?

- Yes, I would love that!

- I wanna use one of those boxes to make a bathtub for my Barbie! - Isa showed her Barbie and they laughed.

- Hey, … did you go through this mail?

- Um, no, I just picked it from your mailbox when I took East. Why?

- Because… - Chris held one of the letters and looked at very seriously - This one is from the court.

- Oh my God! - looked at Isa and quickly looked back at the letter - Open it! Open it!

- It’s a little scary… - Chris smiled at uncomfortably and kept staring at the letter.

- Look, honey, it’s okay. You’re gonna be Isa’s father no matter what that letter says. We’ll all be together - kissed Chris and got the letter - Do you want me to open it?

- Yeah.

opened the letter and read it as fast as she could, while Chris looked at Isabella. At the moment he looked at , she dropped a tear and then looked at him.

- It says yes.

- What?

- It says yes! – laughed - You’re legally Isa’s father now!

- Oh my God! - Chris hugged then picked up Isa in his lap.

- Mommy, why are you crying?

- Because, sweetie - dried her tears - This paper here says that now Chris is you dad, forever!

Isa smiled and hugged Chris and . Then, East tried to join the hug and started licking Isa’s face, which made them all laugh.

That was it: the good moments in the new house had started. Their new home already had a great memory to tell.

CHAPTER 17 – Boys & Girls

It was about a month before and Chris got married. He took her to Boston to see his childhood house and meet his friends - who were coming to the wedding - and Isabella stayed at Lisa’s.

- Wow! Your house is beautiful!

- Yeah. I love coming here to escape from L.A, I really need that sometimes.

- Oh, poor famous boy was trying to escape his new family but his fiancé came with him - laughed.

- No, I’m not talking about this time - Chris laughed - I really wanted you to meet my friends and my town!

- Okay then - kissed Chris.

- I wish Isa were here with us.

- Yeah. But then we couldn’t go out to drink.

- Yeah, that makes me feel better! - Chris smiled.

Later, at night, Chris took to meet his friends at the bar they all used to go to whenever Chris was in town. There were seven guys and four girls.

-So, – Chris’ friend Harry said after he arrived at the table with beer for everyone – I guess there’s no way back now, since you two are getting married, but I just wanna make sure you’re the right girl for my boy here.

- Oh my god, Harry, you’re the worst – Chris said, and he and laughed.

- That’s okay – smiled – So, what do you wanna know?

- Well, the most important thing is that you’re not a “girl girl”.

- What’s a “girl girl”? – asked.

- Oh, it’s this stupid thing we made up like centuries ago – Chris laughed – Cause we were sick of those girls who get mad if you don’t notice their hair, or don’t let them go out with your friends…

- Or wanna watch some shit on TV when the game is on! – Chris’ friend Danny said – Oh my god, you don’t do that, do you?

- You guys, that’s really rude! – Chris laughed.

- No, it’s fine – laughed – Well I can prove to you that I am not a “girl girl”

– said to Harry and Danny – I do not care if the guy notices when I cut my hair, I don’t get mad if he wants to go out to drink, and, most importantly, I would never change the channel to anything while the Red Sox is kicking the Yankees’ ass!

- Oh wow! You’re a Red Sox fan? Okay, point proven – Danny laughed.

- Oh yeah, this reminds me! -
Chris laughed - Harry, you owe me a twenty.

- Why? – asked curious.

- Five years ago. This man bet that there was no way I could find a hot girl, who was a Red Sox fan, in LA.

- Oh, so you’re with me for twenty bucks? That’s nice! – said joking and Chris kissed her.

- No, I’m with because I want to, and I get twenty bucks – Chris said as Harry laughed and gave him twenty bucks from his wallet.

- So, , you’re a dancer right? - Harry’s girlfriend Jess asked - I am too!

- Really? That’s so nice!

- Yeah, and I’m thinking about starting to teach too… Chris said you’re a teacher right?

- Yes! I teach ballet for children, and it’s really great, really gratifying, you know?

- Yeah, I once watched a class at this school I’m thinking of working at, and it sounds like something really good to do - Jess smiled.

- So, what song are you guys gonna sing? You have to sing one! - Steve said to Chris.

- Oh yeah, I’d forgotten that friday is karaoke night here! - Chris laughed.

- Really? How fun! - smiled - Oh, let’s sing that one we were singing in the car last week, wich one was that?

- Um… oh, Don’t Stop Believing!

- Yeah!

- Oh, Danny and I are the best on that song - Cristina said while standing up.

- Ok then, how about I sing with Chris, then you sing with Danny and… we’ll see who’s better -
smiled and went with Chris to the karaoke machine.

and Chris spent a lot more hours singing, talking, laughing and drinking - especially after they decided everyone that lost in the karaoke would buy the others another round. And they were winning most of the times, but drinking nonetheless.

On Saturday, they went with some friends to the school where Chris went to high school and then spent some time at the Boston Public Garden. Later at night, they went to play paintball and eat burgers at the place Chris had celebrated his 10th birthday. And, on Sunday afternoon, they went back to LA in time to have dinner with Isabella and Chris’ parents at their place.

CHAPTER 18 - Love As A Second Language

PART I
looked at her reflection in the mirror and dropped a tear. She didn’t usually get emotional at weddings, but this was way different. She wasn’t just seeing a beautiful bride in a stunning dress that everyone gets jealous of. When she looked at that puffy white dress, she saw this woman who once did something amazing for a helpless little baby, and then met a man who did something amazing for both of them. She also saw the person she never thought she would become: a shinny happy bride, soon to be someone’s wife, soon to be the mother of someone with both a mom and a dad. That was it - she was living the dream she had given up on a long time before she met Chris.

There are many days in our lives where we do everything so automatically we just wind up in a moment and we’re not sure how we got there. But was certain of how she got to that moment when she was standing before a mirror, minutes before the wedding. She remembered every detail of that day - and of the day before, when she had her bachelorette party.

- I can’t believe you and Chris are having your bachelor and bachelorette party at the same bar! - Hayley said to when she arrived at the table with some beers.

- Well, this is the bar we met, it’s a great memory for us both! And both of us had friends with us that night, we thought this was a great idea.

- Oh, shut up! - Liz laughed - You just did this to be around each other. You’re gonna break the promise.

- We are not! - answered - We had lunch together today and that’s it; we won’t see each other until the wedding. I promise, okay?

- Fine - Liz laughed.

- Abby! - shouted when seeing Abby dialing the phone - You are not gonna call mom! - She took the phone from Abby’s hand.

- But what if Dan needs to…?

- No, he doesn’t need anything! Look, I know this is the first time you and Josh left home without the baby, but you gotta trust mom! She raised both of us!

- Yeah, that’s what worries me! - Abby and laughed.

- Oh my God, what is that? - said in shock when a man in a weird costume walked into the party.

- Ha! It’s the stripper I hired for you! - Liz laughed and saw the terrified look on ’s face - Ok, you thank me later.

- What? No, I am not doing that. I’m getting married tomorrow.

- Exactly! That’s the last random guy you’ll se naked! Forever! Come on, what do you think Chris is doing?

- What? There’s a stripper there?

- Um, yeah, obviously! What did you think was gonna happen in a bachelor party?

- I don’t know, it’s just weird to think it’s happening right here.

- Ok, time to stop thinking! - Hayley arrived and handed a tequila shot - You just drink this, sit and relax, okay?
and her friends kept drinking - and enjoying the hot stripper of course - and, when the guy left, was standing up as everyone got ready to start opening the gifts, when someone touched her shoulder and turned her around.

- Hey - was surprised to see it was Chris, but before she could say anything else, he put one hand on her waist and held her head with the other, then kissed her for a good long minute. There was some fuzz in the background over the fact that Chris couldn’t be there, but just completely ignored it.

- Oh my God, what the hell was that? - said while recovering her breath and Chris smiled.

- We were playing Truth or Dare, and someone dared me to find the hottest girl in this bar and kiss her - Chris answered, smiled and all her friends went “Aaaw”, which made her laugh.

- Well, I am very honored the hottest guy in this bar feels the same way about me. But, even thought I would really like to take you home right now and do some stuff with you - and Chris laughed - You gotta go, cause it’s gift time. And, I saw a lot of Victoria’s Secret bags.

- Okay then - Chris smiled - See you tomorrow. At that thing we need to do.

- Okay. See you at the thing - They smiled and Chris went away.

woke up alone the next day. Actually, Liz and Hayley had slept over so she wouldn’t actually be alone, but Isabella was at her grandma’s and Chris was at his place. Even so, felt happier than ever, because the next time she saw them, that’s when they stopped being two people she loved and became one thing: a family.

- Mommy? - Isabella entered the room and woke from her daydream.

- Hey sweetie! - turned around and smiled.

- Wow, you look like a princess mom!

- Yeah? You do too honey - crouched and passed her hand through Isa’s hair.

- Well then you have to be the queen and I’m the princess, and daddy is the king. He looks really pretty too.

- Yeah, he does? - laughed and hugged Isa.

- Honey, time to go - Hayley showed up at the door and smiled.

- So, how’s it gonna work? What’s the order of people to enter? - asked Hayley as they arrived at the room before the church aisle.

- Liz will enter with Matt, then me and Dean, then Abby and Scott, and then a while later, you enter with your dad and Isabella goes in front of you with Lilly, holding the rings.

- Okay - smiled.

- My princess! - ’s dad arrived and hugged her - You look beautiful.

- Thanks dad - she smiled.

- Look, grandpa! - Isa showed John the basket she was holding - I get to take mom’s ring! And rose petals!

- Wow, that is really nice! Do you think I can throw some of those petals too?

- No, grandpa - Isa and Lilly laughed - That’s only for the bridesmaids!

- Well, okay then - John and laughed.

Within the next five minutes, the three bridesmaids and best men had entered, and was standing before the closed door, with her arm enlaced on her father’s, while Isa and Lilly were giggling about something. She started to feel butterflies in her stomach and was about to go over the importance of that day again, but then she reached the conclusion she was always over thinking stuff, and she was better off just living in the moment. She took a deep breath and then the doors opened.

PART II

Surprisingly, she didn’t think a million things while she walked down the aisle. She even forgot to do something she promised herself she would: look at the guests and smile to the highest possible number of them - because she didn’t want it to be like in the movies, where all those people were really just extras. But the thing is, she could only see Chris in there. For many reasons, she couldn’t look anywhere else (of course one of them was that he always looked really great in suits).

- Alright, now, who has the rings? - As the priest asked by the end of the ceremony, Abby and Hayley helped Isabella and Lilly get the rings and give them to and Chris - Now, repeat after me: I, …

- I, - started while looking deeply into Chris’ eyes - Take you, Christopher Robert Evans, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

- Now Chris, repeat after me: I, Christopher Robert Evans…

- I, Christopher Robert Evans, take you , to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

- I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.

Chris dried ’s tear and kissed her. Then, everyone made their way to the party, which was happening in a hotel near the church, and Chris and rode in a limo Chris had rented as a surprise.

- So… We did it! - Chris massaged ’s hair as she lyed her head in his shoulder.

- Yeah. I can’t believe this.

- Well, hot girl from the bar, thanks for showing up.

- Yeah, well, all my plans fell through. My friends can’t resist free food and drinks - and Chris laughed.

- Sounds like my kind of people!

- Yeah? Wanna hit this party with me?

- Sure, what the hell - Chris smiled and kissed .

After greeting everyone and having dinner, and Chris danced their first dance as a couple. It was a modern dance with a choreography they had been rehearsing for a few weeks. A while later, everyone was dancing when Chris arrived at the table was sitting on with Isa on his lap.

- Hi my loves! - took Isa on her lap - Chris… I want a divorce.

- What? - Chris laughed.

- I’m gonna marry this cake - answered while eating the last bite of her piece of cake.

- Yeah? Well I am too, we’re gonna have to fight for that.

- Oh, like physically fight? Dammit - made a disappointment face and Chris laughed.

- Hey, I’ve missed you honey! - said to Isabella.

- I miss you too, mom! I didn’t see you for two days! - Isa showed the number two on her fingers.

- That’s right sweetie - smiled and fixed the bow in Isa’s hair.

- Now are we gonna be together? The three of us?

- Well, uh, tomorrow daddy and I are gonna leave for our honeymoon, like we told you, remember?

- Yeah - Isabella made a sad face.

- Hey - Chris lifted Isa’s face - You’re gonna stay with Grandma Emma, and guess what?

- What?

- When we come back, we’re all gonna go live in our new house!

- Really? And I’m gonna sleep in my new bedroom?

- Yes, forever!

- Yay! I can’t wait! - Isa hugged Chris and .

- Oh, they’re playing our song! Let’s go! - grabbed Chris’ and Isa’s hands and they all went dancing on the dance floor.

- Well, if it isn’t the most beautiful family Los Angeles has ever seen!

- Oh, thanks Lisa - hugged Lisa.

- Grandma Emma - Isa said while she picked her up - did you know Lisa is my grandma too now?

- Yes sweetie, I do. Now you have two grandmas, that’s really cool! I had to grandmas too, you know…

- Really?

- Yeah. And your mom and dad, they have two grandmas each.

- Grandma? When mom and dad go to the honeymoon and I stay at your house, can grandma Lisa come visit us?

- Of course sweetie! - Emma and Lisa laughed.

- Well, we’re gonna get going - Lisa said after they all talked at the table for a long time - What time do you leave tomorrow?

- Mom, I already told you, 10 a.m. - Chris answered.

- Oh look at you, Mr. Grown Up! Don’t you dare thinking you’ll get rid of me just because you’re married! - Lisa said joking and laughed.

- Isn’t that the point of getting married? - Chris smiled.

- Now you better behave sir, I can return you back to mama at any time - laughed.

- Okay, I’ll behave - Chris smiled and kissed .

- Ok now, you call me when you land - Bob and Lisa stood up and she grabbed her purse.

- Now are you sure that’s necessary? - Chris said to tease his mom.

- I’ll make sure he calls you - smiled - Even better, I’ll call you.

- See? is a much better daughter than you are as a son - Lisa hugged and kissed her on the cheek - Bye honey, have a great honeymoon.

- Thanks - smiled - Oh, and my mom said you can come any time to visit Isa this week. She took the whole week off, and it’s really hard for her not to have someone to talk to all day!

- Okay, that’s great I’ll be there all the time then! Ok, bye! And you behave yourself up there - Lisa kissed Chris and went away.

- Hey honey, give me Isa - Hayley said to , who had Isabella sleeping on her lap - Go dance with Chris.

- No, I’m good here - lyed her head on Isa’s.

- No, seriously, you two love that song. Come on, it’s your wedding night!

- Okay. Thanks Hay - smiled, gave Isa to Hayley and lyed her head on Chris’ shoulder as they started a slow dance.

- Are you ok? - Chris asked.

- Yeah - looked at him and smiled - Just a little tired, that’s all.

- Well, you can’t be too tired, you know… - Chris smiled.

- I know, I know - smiled back - Got a hotel room waiting for us, with a bathtub, champagne, strawberries… a bathtub.

- Yeah - Chris laughed.

- Hey, what would you do if at that night at the bar someone told you you’d be marrying two years from then?

- Probably but him some coffee, call him a cab and hope he sobered up soon - Chris and laughed.

- I had given up on it, you know? Never thought I’d find “the whole package” - smiled.

- Well, I guess you did. The package is yours - Chris smiled and kissed .

CHAPTER 19 – Teenage Dream

- Oh no. Please don’t tell me you speak French. - asked while closing her bag.

- Why? What’s wrong with that? - Chris asked while coming out of the bathroom with a toothbrush in his mouth.

- Because! You cannot be the perfect man! I will not accept that!

- Ok, fine - Chris answered laughing and came back to the bathroom - I don’t.

- Good! Hey, there’s your flaw: you don’t speak French! - said laughing and walked to the bathroom door.

- Oh, and you do?

- No… But I never promised I was flawless! - said smiling.

- Then how come you are? - Chris smiled and kissed .

The whole week and Chris spent in Paris was like a dream. always heard about how it felt a little magical to be in the “City of Lights”, but she never thought it would actually be so different from walking on the streets back in LA. Of course there were other “factors” helping: Chris was there, and she always felt really safe with him, and every experience was better. Even though Isa wasn’t there with them, it was very fun to just walk and walk on Champs de Elysee, and stop for ice cream on Saint Germain and lay on the grass by the Tower and just talk for hours, or hug and roll, and kiss and laugh… had never felt happier; it was like her life was finally complete. No pieces were missing on the puzzle.

- Good morning! Happy last day of Paris! I should call it “sad day” though – said to Chris while looking out the window.

- Yeah, I know – Chris stood up and hugged from behind – But I’m happy we didn’t make plans to visit any place in special today. It’s gonna be good to just walk around the city.

- Yeah… So what do you wanna do? Maybe we start from the Tower after breakfast and… oh I definitely wanna go to the Trocadero again!

- Yeah, me too! So let’s do those, and then we’ll decide what’s next – Chris smiled.

and Chris had breakfast at the hotel and walked to the Tower, where they sat and stared at it for about twenty minutes, taking more and more photos – which was just inevitable. Then, they went to Trocadero, and entered the museum to visit a part of it they hadn’t seen yet. Then, they bought some ice cream and sat at a square’s bench.

- Hey, you know something I just realized?

- What?

- Last time you and I sat for ice cream you found out I had a daughter. And now you’re her father.

- Yeah… life’s pretty great, uh? – Chris smiled.

- Yeah, it is – laughed and rested her head on his shoulder.

Chris and woke up at the hotel on a Sunday with the phone ringing, and Chris picked up before even opened her eyes.

- Hello? Hey, my princess! How are you? We are fine too… Mom is still sleeping. Oh don’t worry honey, we will be back tonight! … - heard Chris laughing, opened her eyes and turned to his side - Yeah we did… No, it’s not the same as yours, don’t worry! Okay, I love you too… bye.

- Was that Isa?

- Yeah - Chris smiled and kissed - She wanted to remind us to buy little Dan a toy, but it couldn’t be a doll like hers, cause “I don’t think he likes dolls like I do” - they both laughed.

- Oh that’s so adorable… oh I can’t believe we’re coming back today! This has been so great!

- I know… but it’ll be good to be back. We got our new house now!

- Yeah, that is great - smiled.

- And my mom said our wedding album just arrived.

- Really? Oh, that is so great! Hey, how about I make that pasta Carly taught me, then we’ll go through our album in the living room, after dinner…

- Sounds great - Chris kissed and went to the bathroom.

Late at night, Chris and arrived in LA, and Lisa went to pick them up with Isabella.

- Mom! Dad! - Isabella screamed and came running when seeing them, then they hugged for about a minute.

- Hey, sweetie! - kissed her and picked her up, while Chris hugged Lisa.

- Hey, how was the trip? - Lisa hugged and Chris picked up Isa.

- It was great, everything is so beautiful there - smiled - But it’s great to be back, we missed you guys.

- Oh, we missed you too. Listen, everyone made time tomorrow for a welcome lunch, in my house - Lisa smiled.

- Really? Oh, Lisa, thank you so much - smiled.

and Chris arrived home at about 11:30, and they were really tired, but they really missed lsabella, so they all sat in the living room’s couch and kept going through the wedding photos, while hearing Isa’s stories of the week she spent with all her grandparents, who by what they heard had a real talent for spoiling.

CHAPTER 20 – Big Steps

- You think she’s gonna be ok? Maybe we should go help her find the classroom!

- Will you calm down? - Chris laughed - She’s with the director. I’m pretty sure the director knows where the classroom is.

- But it’s Isa’s first day at school! We have to be there!

- We are! We’re here! - Chris hugged from the side and kissed her cheek.

- Ok fine, let’s go. We got class too.

It was a Monday, Isa was almost five years old and that was her first day of school. After dropping her off, Chris and went for a couple’s dance class they had just signed up for, at the place where taught ballet - one of her teacher friends had created this class for the children’s parents, and and Chris joined it.

- You’re doing it wrong! - laughed as Chris twisted her in a dance choreography.

- I am not!

- Yes you are, you’re doing it too fast!

- Ok, whatever. Wait until you see me tap dance.

- I’ve seen you tap dance!

- Oh yeah? Well you haven’t seen my A game - Chris and laughed.

After the class, Chris and spent the day at home, then picked up Isa at school and got ready for their “date” with Sam and Hayley - they were gonna watch Avatar, the movie Sam was a lead in, that had premiered the day before.

- Oh my god, it’s that guy from Avatar! - joked and hugged Sam - How was the premiere last night?

- Oh, it was great! It’s a shame you guys couldn’t go - Sam answered.

- Oh that’s fine… it’s not like I’ve never been to premieres you know - joked.

- Oh yeah, you went to Chris’ premiere of Push right? - Hayley smiled.

- Yeah, now I’m just as good as you guys - laughed.

- Uncle Sam - Isa said while they waited for the movie to start - Did you know today was my first day of class?

- Oh yeah? Was it really fun?

- Yes! And my teacher’s name is Sarah, just like Aunt Hayley’s mom!

- Oh wow, really? That is so nice! - Hayley looked at Isa and smiled.

- But how can they have the same name? They can to that? - Sam joked.

- Of course they can! - Isa laughed - There are two girls named Lilly in my class!

- Oh, now you’re just lying to me! - Sam started tickling Isa and she burst into laughs.

After the movie, they all went to have dinner, and Isa was still in shock after seeing Uncle Sam “flying right at her”.

- That was really great, Sam, congratulations! - said.

- Oh, thanks - Sam smiled.

- You guys are all getting such good parts! Hayley worked with Keira Knightley, and Chris is shooting with Jeffrey Dean Morgan!

- Oh, what about you? You’ve been doing great at the dance company! - Hayley said.

- Yeah, we've been selling a lot of tickets in this latest show…

- It’s not just that. Apparently she’s kinda famous there. And not as “Chris Evans’ wife” - Chris teased .

- Oh he’s just messing with me - answered as Hayley and Sam laughed - Cause I said that once he becomes really famous I’m just gonna be “Chris Evans’ wife” - laughed.

- Oh honey, you know that’s not true - Hayley looked at - You’re also Sam and Hayley’s friend! - Hayley said and everyone laughed.

- It just depends on where we are. Whenever we’re at the theater we’re all “’s guests” - Chris said.

- Okay, okay, we’re all shiny stars, now let’s eat - laughed.

I'm interested to see where this is going. I want to see how you're going to payoff the seeds you planted earlier, with Hayley Atwell being a friend before she's in Captain America, and the jealousy over Scarlett Johansen with Avengers.

haha yeah I had the idea of putting Hayley in the story cause I love her so much and she's such an amazing person, and I think it's gonna become a really funny storyline whe she and Chris work together. about the Scarlett thing, I don't think that was so much out of jealously as it was a bit of fangirling as well :P

Especially if you've heard the story about the scene where Peggy reaches out to touch Steve's new chest was just Hayley's actual reaction to first seeing Chris all pumped up.

Text from Chris "please talk to your friend, she's getting handsy at work."
